Meg Byers

Meg graduated from the University of Canterbury in September 2023 and went on to be admitted to the Bar in 2024. Prior to joining Weston Ward and Lascelles in October 2023 as a Law Clerk, Meg worked as a Law Clerk at a well-established law firm in Papanui on the commercial property team. At present, Meg undertakes all aspects of family and employment law. Meg’s empathetic approach towards her clients enables her to clearly communicate practical and concise legal advice.

Serving her community is an important aspect of Meg’s life and she currently holds the Honorary Solicitor role with Canterbury Masters Figure Skating Club.

While studying at law school, Meg competed internationally in legal client interviewing competitions, holding the National title in 2023 and placing second in Australasia. Outside of work Meg enjoys pursuing her passions as a figure skater and swimmer.
