Alina was admitted to the bar in 2017. Her prior experience includes working as a District Court Judge’s Clerk for two years focusing on research and opinion-writing, in-house Counsel for a government agency for approximately three years specialising in all aspects of child protection including youth justice. Prior to joining Weston Ward & Lascelles in March 2025 she was with a small firm for approximately four years specialising in Family Law areas, including Care of Children, Family Violence, Oranga Tamariki, Relationship Property disputes and for Protection of Personal and Property Rights applications. Alina has extensive experience appearing in the Family Court and is experienced in the court processes including being appointed as Lawyer to Assist the court and Lawyer for Child.
Currently Alina undertakes all aspects of family law and some employment law matters.
Outside of work, Alina is kept busy by her Jack Russell and enjoys spending time with her family.
