Ieuan graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2020, (LLB/BA) and was admitted to the bar in December 2020. Before entering private practice in 2024, Ieuan gained experience as a junior solicitor in the public service acting for the Chief Executive of Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children. His role with the Ministry allowed him to work closely with a diverse range of professionals to litigate for the care and protection of children and justice for youth. Ieuan has appeared in Family Court regularly across the motu, including Hakatere, Te Tihi-o-Maru, Heretaunga and Ōtautahi.

 

Ieuan is an empathetic cultural practitioner and passionate litigator. Now at Weston Ward and Lascelles, he has expanded his practice to include family violence, care of children and relationship property matters.

 

Outside of work, Ieuan fills his time running competitively with the goal of one day representing Aotearoa internationally.
